The Perfect Bow

Before we discuss my latest lack of posts, allow me to indulge you in another white outfit this slightly cloudy morning! I know, I know but I warned you about my obsession.

This outfit is an absolute charm and the smile on my face can easily tell you that I loved wearing it. I wore it for a Sunday brunch. The featured dress was a gift from a lovely friend of mine and I thought what better way to rock it than with these bowed blue satin pumps. And yes, I went back to braids. Though this time round I opted to have them done differently. I love my braids as they bring out the beautiful African side in a lady.

I cannot tell you how love struck I am with these shoes from ASOS! Well, I am in love with most of my shoes but a girl can never have enough “favourite” shoes. This ultra-feminine pair of stilettos is a sight to behold with its bright colours combination, satin finishing and the jeweled bow. I am looking forward to styling them differently.

Have a great week ahead!

Whiter Than White

Good morning!!

I had mentioned in a previous post that I was in a season where the only colour that existed for me was white. Well, my dear readers, I am here to officially announce that I am now fully obsessed with white! Seriously, I might as well go out and get everything in white!

I do not know when exactly the colorless bug bit me but it bit me hard and I am not one to complain. How can I complain while white is still trending?! The just finished New York Fashion Week definitely gave this chic trend some more validation!

I wore this Lavish Alice white jumpsuit (two jumpsuit posts back to back, ha!) some weeks ago at a friend’s kitchen party. I, however, decided to recreate the look with different shoes and bring it over to the blog. I accessorized with this lovely fringe bag from River Ialnd. The great thing about this look is that it is so chic yet so casual that it can pass for a weekend look!

Speaking about the weekend, enjoy yours! I sure will enjoy mine.

Shades of Brown

We all need that one piece in our closet that requires zero effort to style it. A piece that you can just throw on and look well put together. A piece that can be dressed up or down to suit any occassion, without much ado. Maybe it is a pair of great fitting demins that goes with everything. Or it’s that bodycon dress that makes you look like a million bucks without breaking the bank.

For me, that outfit is this brown jumpsuit which I bought for about $20 from Splash. I absolutely love jumpsuits, especially fitted ones, as they accentuate my figure very well. The colour of this jumpsuit was also a plus as it is very attractive. The beauty about a jumpsuit is that it is a complete outfit in itself. You do not have to worry about which top or bottom to pair it with!

I can achieve a casual smart or sophisticated look with this jumpsuit in a matter of minutes. For a dressed down look, I could pair it with flats. On the other hand, I could be red-carpet ready by switching up my shoes and accessorising differently. For this post, however, I paired my outfit with killer shoes to achieve a polished look.

Whatever that piece is for you, wear it elegantly as if it actually cost a million bucks!

Happy weekend!

For You

Today’s post is a special post dedicated to you. Yes, you. This post is for you.

If you had asked me some years ago if I would be a fashion blogger, I would have laughed at you. Most definitely. Fast forward to 2015, here we are; I am a blogger and you are my special reader.

Words cannot express my love and appreciation for you. I cannot describe the motivation you give me each and every day to push harder and do better. Every comment, every like, every view and every follower all amount to my greastest inspiration.

Thank you for believing in me. Thank you for encouraging me. Thank you for walking on this journey with me. I hope you know how much you mean to me!

This post is for you.

From the depths of my heart, thank you!

The Perfect Cape Blazer

A black vest, black denims, a pair of sexy black stilettos and a perfect multi stripped cape blazer, I can assure you that it doesn’t get any classic than that! Oh how I live for simple but classic outfits but this one takes the crown, for now.

I absolutely love this cape blazer from Lavish Alice. She really has the coolest collection of capes! Talking about blazers, this piece should be in your blazer goals. It is a unique piece that can be worn with anything; to polish an already perfect outfit or to upgrade an uninspiring outfit. Think about throwing this cape blazer over a simple body con dress with killer sandals!

In this case, I used my cape blazer to upgrade my outfit that featured this well fitting Asos demin pants. I accessorized with a clutch from River Island.

Have a lovely weekend my dear readers and do not forget that there are no rules in fashion. Be as colorful and as bright as possible! Most importantly, remember that you can style a single piece in your wardrobe in more than one way!
